It was with pleasure and respect that SM2 delivered a dotOffice website solution to Ordinary Mind Zen. At SM2 we recognise the valuable contribution that volunteer efforts have enriching the community we live in. Throughout the year, we assist selected not-for-profit organisations by providing in-kind professional services and support. Located in Brisbane, Australia, Ordinary Mind Zen Brisbane (OMZ - formerly the Everyday Zen Group) provides support and instruction for Zen students in the tradition of the Ordinary Mind Zen School founded by Charlotte Joko Beck. OMZ pursues a contemporary approach to Zen practice appropriate to the circumstances of everyday life. At the same time, they value and preserve the foundational principles of Zen practice as transmitted through the historical tradition. As a lay group, their approach is practice-centred and experiential rather than doctrinal or philosophical. SM2's Business Consultant, Larne Wellington has been a regular participant in the OMZ group. When the group wanted to upgrade their old website, Larne saw it as a great opportunity to provide something back to the organisation that has so enriched her life. SM2, using our dotOffice website package, designed and built a new website and activated a content management system to enable the group to self manage all the text, events and photos on their website. We also provide complimentary support and website hosting. It is a pleasure being of service.
