Kley McPherson | Director

Qualifications: Bachelor of Management (Leisure), Bachelor of Information Technology (foundation year), Member - Software Engineering Australia (Qld), Certified Developer of Enterprise (CDE) 

Experience: Kley has over 10 years IT experience. He established SM2 simply as a customer service business that utilises the most appropriate technology available to meet the customer's needs. Kley's total commitment to quality and service and extensive knowledge of the internet environment adds much value and insight to the conceptual and contextual direction of each unique project. He has a strong emphasis on partnering with the client to optimise project outcomes. This is operationally supported via his direct management of procedures and quality assurance systems to fully support the day-to-day output of all web, creative and strategic solutions.

Michaela Tilse | Executive Business Manager

Qualifications: Bachelor Arts (Visual Communication Design), Bachelor Arts (Humanities) foundation year, Certified Developer of Enterprise (CDE)

Experience: Michaela has had extensive experience in the IT and Design industries. She has worked for various clients ranging from governments, corporates, private, international and community organisations. Michaela has previously worked as Creative Director, Creative Manager, Studio Manager, Project Manager, Usability Consultant, Touch Screen Kiosk Designer and a Web Designer. Michaela is responsible for the overall project management of all SM2 solutions and often lends creative direction to branding, design and usability tasks. Michaela's ability to communicate with client's and interpret their needs and to translate 'nerd speak' into layman's terms, ensures all clients are wholly satisfied with their end product. Michaela is project team leader providing direction in project planning, consultation and implementation.

Tony Blair | Technical Manager

Qualifications: Associate Diploma of Business Computing (TAFE)

Experience: Tony has over 10 years experience in developing Internet and Intranet solutions for e-business, e-learning and e-commerce applications. Clients have included corporates, associations, universities and training organisations. Tony is passionate about programming and has been progressively involved in open source technology communities establishing himself as a leading developer using the Joomla! framework.  Tony is formally trained in object oriented programming further enabling efficient delivery of solutions based in PHP, MYSQL, MSSQL, ASP, ASPX. Tony is technical team leader providing direction for high and low level functional specifications design and technical development. 

Ron Morris | Business Analyst

Experience: Ron has extensive experience in Strategic Planning, Business Development, Sales and Marketing, Product Commercialisation and Business Consultancy gained via numerous senior management and executive positions with national and multinational corporate enterprises and government agencies. Ron leads SM2’s Strategy division with a strong emphasis on Business Analysis and Business Development. Ron is also a board member (Director of Business Development) with Musicadium Pty Ltd and GoGo Corp Japan (Director of Marketing). Ron has previously worked as a Business Coach for Achaeus; successfully completed Queensland Enterprise Workshop; won the State and runner-up in the National Business Planning competition; worked as a Business Advisor for the Department of State Development (Australian state); consultant with QMI Solutions as National Business Development Manager of PDNet;  General Manager Market Development International Business and General Manager Asia pacific (resident in Malaysia) for ADI; Marconi Radar and United Scientific Holdings (Avimo) as a Sales Engineer, Sales Manager and Senior Business Development Manager. 

Mark Payne | Senior Creative

Experience: Mark Payne has an extensive 8 year experience and skill set. He has previously been employed as a Screen Designer, Print Designer, Photographer and Account Manager. A keen photographer and a member of the Brisbane Camera Group, Mark's photography has featured in many exhibits and competitions. Mark also has broad print design skills and has worked on many large-scale nation wide print campaigns. His extensive knowledge of print design and branding is a valuable asset to SM2. Mark is always learning and studying new graphic design styles and is constantly maturing and expanding in his designs. He is confident in all design genres and styles. Mark is a self motivated and passionate designer.  

Michael Visser | Web Developer

Qualifications: Certificate III in Information Technology Systems (Qld)

Experience: Michael is the youngest member of our team and brings with him a passion for innovative and contemporary web development. He has prior experience within the retail IT and commercial web production environments co-ordinating a diverse range of IT solutions including internet services, digital advertising and business systems.

Michael’s core responsibility is taking client site designs and building it for the web, he takes this to heart. Always pushing the bar for user-experience Michael knows what his client’s site visitors want and strives to deliver the best product on time and on budget.

Sarah Hamilton | Business Administrator

Qualifications: Bachelor of Arts, Diploma of Music Performance

Experience: Sarah has  completed a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Queensland with majors in media studies and music, then went on to study a diploma of music performance at the Southbank Institute of TAFE. Sarah has also worked as a Rehearsal Manager at the National Institute of Youth Performing Arts Australia, as a Disability Support worker, a childcare worker and is also a musician, playing gigs all around Brisbane. Sarah assists with office administration, phones, accounts and support.
