"The right skills in the right place at the right time"Queensland's building and construction industry and the State Government today (31 July) unveiled the latest step to overcome skills shortages by joining forces to launch Construction Skills Queensland, a one-stop-shop providing solutions to achieving a sustainable, skilled workforce. The new centre of excellence is the first of its kind in Australia and will share responsibility with the Queensland Government and the building and construction industry to create a skilled workforce.
The new hub for industry and government, Construction Skills Queensland brings together the activities of the Building and Construction Industry Training Fund (BCITF(Qld)) and many of the key functions of Construction Training Queensland (CTQ) under one banner, capitalising on the strong position and credibility both organisations have with the market and industry. For further information on Construction Skills Queensland and the Civil Infrastructure Strategy visit the newly redeveloped by SM2 site at www.beconstructive.com.au or call 1800 798 488. SM2 worked on the launch in conjunction with CSQ, to create the new revamped Be Constructive web site, the CSQ web site and several Flash presentations for the official media launch.
