Supreme Court Library Project

supreme.court.library.qldAs part of a recent overhaul of the Supreme Court of Queensland Library's website, SM2 was commissioned to provide design, implementation and consulting services to the Library. The brief was essentially to create the best user-experience possible for their user-base with accessibility being a major priority.

In conjunction with the Library's existing design and development staff we carefully crafted an interface design that best suited the scope of the project and merged the design into their existing code.

The result is a unified design that spans different applications and code-bases, creating a seamless experience for visitors to the site and a professional image for the Library.

Technology

  • Implementation of the designs in Python and PHP based applications using Standards-based XHTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Creative

  • Template designs and development of a visual tool kit that allows the Library's design staff to continue to evolve the templates.

Strategy

  • A complete usability / accessibility / user-experience report of the Library's old website, which included recommendations and strategies for moving forward.
