On the 9 November 2007, the parents of Brent Grace were interviewed by Channel 7 News and their story of how Melanoma Patients Australia (MPA) began and the ultimate cost of melanoma not only to his parents but all of those who loved him and supported his desire to create a resource for those in need of answers via an online information resource, forum and support system.

SM2 was approached by Melanoma Patients Australia as their preferred provider of internet professional services in early 2007 for the development of the Melanoma Patients Australia website solution. As part of SM2's commitment to the community, this project was delivered part in kind. "I would like to congratulate SM2 on what can only be described as a service second to none. mpa recently experienced the loss of one of its founding directors, during this time we found it very difficult to maintain our site let alone do the inspirational things that we do on a daily basis. As soon as Michaela from sm2 found out about our situation she stepped in and just kept things happening. SM2 have at all time sought to deliver the highest of quality in their customer service. The Melanoma Patients Australia Ltd website was developed to house useful information and contact with other patients that will offer comfort and be inspiring. The aim of the website is to provide melanoma patients, their family and friends with information about melanoma and its treatment options as well as providing a support network to nurture them through difficult times.
SM2 has since been a long supporter
of Melanoma Patients Australia, offering free support, training and maintenance
of their site and attends any fundraising and events, including the recent cocktail
reception that was held at Government House to support of the Melanoma Patients
Australia Inc (MPA) organisation.

During the news piece that
highlighted the importance of early detection of moles that can turn into
cancerous melanoma's, the piece also focused on Brent Grace, the founder and
visionary of the SM2 developed web site
