SM2 was one of the few companies invited
to submit a tender to develop the corporate styles and Office templates for Australian
Sports Commission (ASC). SM2 was quickly awarded the tender after demonstrating
their ability to complete the work creatively, within the tight timeframes and budget
and after glowing references were provided by our current and past clients.
Introduction
The Australian Sports Commission (ASC) is the Australian Government
body that funds, manages and invests in sport at all levels in Australia. It
works closely with national sporting organisations to increase participation in
physical activity and sports by all Australians and to develop elite sporting
excellence. The ASC also manages a range of programs and services which enable
sport to contribute to the social and economic health and well-being of
communities in Australia and internationally.
In order to ensure that the ASC maintains a consistent and cohesive
image with our stakeholders, the ASC wanted to have a consistent font and style
for all internal and external documents and materials.
Previously there are numerous ASC
templates, forms, policies and procedures that were available for
staff on the intranet and in hard copy. Given that many of these
documents were produced by different sections across the ASC there was no
consistent font or style that sections follow. The templates were also
difficult to use, varied in style, formatting and font and some had very large
file sizes that mad printing and storage difficult.
Creative
The aim of the project was to develop a range of Microsoft Word and
PowerPoint templates for the ASC that projected a consistent image for all
internal documents and documents presented to ASC stakeholders. This included consistent
use of corporate logo/branding, font
and formatting style.
The templates were provided by SM2 to be placed on the ASC intranet
for staff to access. A PDF preview of each template was also provided to show
the formatting styles.
To assist the review process, SM2 released the templates to an Online Environment. These designs were placed on an SM2 hosted ASC
template specific website at a private location for ASC stakeholders to view
the documents.
Once
all files were reviewed and signed off, SM2 Delivered all files to for The
Australian Sports Commission
(ASC) to install and integrate into The Australian Sports Commission (ASC)
hosted intranet that enabled The Australian Sports Commission (ASC) to maintain
full control over on-going maintenance, design and content changes as required.
