SM2 to attend "Take Advantage of the ITC Skills Shortage" Breakfast

wit_women_in_technology Michaela will be attending the Women in Technology Cullens Futures Breakfast Series 2008 "ICT Skills Shortage" on Wednesday 6 August 2008. At this valuable boardroom breakfast Michaela will learn how  to take advantage of the increasing ICT skills shortage in the current market.

The Cullen's Breakfast Series is a series of informal breakfast meetings for up to 15 guests with selected speakers discussing various future  issues within the ICT world. SM2 will attend this intimate and informative networking event and enjoy the continental breakfast canapés and gourmet muffins! Another reason for SM2 attending is for the networking opportunities this event will provide.

Kelvin Davis

Kelvin has a broad depth of international and domestic business Information Technology industry experience including, creation of international companies, establishment of procurement and distribution channels, taxation and importation requirements.

His business experience stems from a strong industry experience and team management in many countries. Assisting many businesses with the change management processes ensuring all stakeholdersi are in a win ? win situation.

Information Communication and Technology experience ranges from design, implementation and support of enterprise wide IT solutions with a focus on long term cost reductions through efficiencies in business processing integrating cost effective work place and IT solutions. As a Microsoft Certified Trainer of Systems Engineers, responsibilities included operational support for national and international businesses.

His experience is of benefit to all clients by overseeing analysis and IT infrastructure designs. Kelvin has extensive experience and a high standard of customer service at all levels of support, managing small and large implementation teams, transitioning solutions into supportable environments ensuring operational staff to meet key performance indicators ensuring ongoing stakeholder confidence. Kelvin has held positions including Management, Board Positions, CEO & Chairman.

A sound understanding on financial issues comes from personal investment in start up companies, and ownership of investment vehicles locally and internationally. Kelvin participates as mentor in the Queensland Department of State Development and Innovation Mentoring for Growth (M4G) program based in Brisbane and Sunshine Coast areas and member of the Founders Forum, Brisbane.

Kelvin is an award winning Business Mentor and Milestone Manager for the Queensland Government sponsored Vortex (creative industries), Financing Innovation Growth (FIG) and Bluestorm Programs coordinated by the Achaeus business development group. Kelvin is the founder of Greymouse, leading a team of professionals focused on helping SME's (Small to Medium Enterprises) to compete in an increasingly competitive market. Kelvin delivers globalisation benefits to the SME's ensuring Australian quality standard is maintained while they become more competitive in this flatening world.

Sinead Hourigan

Sinead Hourigan has been Director of Robert Walters Queensland since 2004 and has been recruiting in the Brisbane market for over eight years. She has recruited a broad range of positions from CEO/CFO level roles for publicly listed organisations and large government funded organisations to executive management level roles within a number of industries. Her experience in the recruitment industry has given Sinead a broad understanding of the commercial environment in Brisbane and she has gained a broad exposure to a diverse range of industry sectors. Sinead possesses the ability to quickly gain an understanding of the economic conditions within a variety of industry sectors and is capable of offering practical and effective solutions to clients? requirements.

Prior to entering the recruitment industry, Sinead worked within the ?Big 4? in Sydney, within the tax and audit and advisory areas, working with a range of blue chip clients assisting in the development of strategic risk profiles for these clients and facilitating the implementation of risk minimisation strategies. Previous to this, Sinead worked in executive positions within the Irish Government. This experience has been extremely beneficial in assisting Sinead with developing the ability to deal effectively with all levels of personnel within an organisation, from heads of state through to professional and support personnel.
