SM2 will be hosting an information session for University of the Sunshine Coast,
Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences final year students on Wednesday 3
September. The students are a mix of skills ranging from print, web and multi-media, making SM2 an ideal location to visit as they provide all of these services and more.
The final year students are part of the course called Professional Project.
The first project in this 13-week unit is for the students 'brand'
themselves by producing a Personal Identity. They'll also theme their
own portfolio exhibition and produce their entry-level design
portfolios. Some of them will do self promotional animations. A major
aspect of this unit is to give students an insight into the industry,
which they achieve through a combination of workshops, industry guest
speakers and visits such as the one with SM2.
During the session, SM2 will cover tips and tricks to on how to write
and supply a resumes and design folios, do's and don't in interviews,
take a tour of SM2, a brief presentation on SM2 and a review of several
types of projects, a Q&A session and discuss what it's really like
working in the creative industries!
