SM2's partner D2K, suggested Baker
O'Brien Toll Solicitors approach SM2 to assist them with the design, build and
release the regenerated Baker O'Brien & Toll website. Their old site was
outdated, static and was not able to be easily updated.
After phone discussions and a SM2 based meeting with this Bundaberg based solicitor firm a brief summary of the key strategic objectives were defined as follows:
The old site did not promote a favourable user experience, as it had very old content (most dating back from 2002); did not market their extensive services; was seldom the source of inquiries from potential clients and in particular did not load very quickly. The old site was cluttered but the allowed for ease to readability. So the clean open design was carried across to the new site. The use of the Joomla! Content management system addressed the key requirement of Baker O'Brien Toll Solicitors to easily update the site. The use of a Flash design feature ensured that it provided an "impact" upon site visitors. SM2 offered an online solution that consisted of a specifications and staged release plan production phase followed by the activation and customisation of the SM2 website management system (built upon the award winning Joomla! open source framework). The site was to provide the extensive functionality as identified in the supplied draft proposal document.
SM2 rolled out the standard Professional Pack for the Baker O'Brien & Toll website.
