GEMCO (BHP Billiton) approached a few select agencies to compete for a tender to create a new content managed site for the BHP Billiton subsidiary, GEMCO. SM2 was the successful bidder on the tender and started work immediately on the site. To assist GEMCO keep in touch with prospective clients and employees, SM2 created a latest job postings listing, created a"did you know?" area that features interesting information about Groote Eylandt, installed agallery to feature the unique environment on Groote Eylandt and assist both national and international prospective employees get a glimpse of what their working and everyday life at Groote would be. The site also features a New Employee login section that will assist new employees’ transition into working in a remote location. This enables users to log onto a secure area via a unique username and password to access HR documents, tips from current employees and other useful information that would assist a new employee.
