SM2 volunteered their time and skills to create and promote for Toni and David McCaffery a Facebook Group for their daughter Dana Elizabeth McCaffery who died at just 4 weeks of age from Whooping cough, a totally vaccine preventable disease. She was the first to die from this appalling disease since 2004 in Australia.

In just four short weeks, baby Dana Elizabeth McCaffery taught the McCaffery family boundless love and amazing courage. Born perfectly healthy, she is the innocent victim of Whooping Cough due to dangerously low awareness and even lower vaccination rates. 

The aim of the Facebook group is to spread the word and encourage everyone to work together to eliminate preventable illnesses and protect the most vulnerable.  SM2 in conjunction with another agency both worked closely to create the Facebook group, a website and email campaign. In less than 24 hours the Facebook group had grown to over 400 members and in 3 months the group had over 32 000 members, showing that Facebook can be a very fast, effective medium to get a message out.
